Delhi Elections: Liquor available in Delhi but not water, says PM Modi

Date:

As the Delhi Assembly elections draw closer, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken center stage with a dynamic outreach initiative aimed at galvanizing the BJP cadre. Through the “Mera Booth Sabse Majboot” live webcast event, PM Modi directly interacted with Delhi BJP workers, emphasizing the importance of grassroots engagement and presenting a sharp critique of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

During the webcast, PM Modi stressed the pivotal role of booth-level workers in securing a landslide victory for the BJP. Highlighting the need for record-breaking voter turnout, he urged workers to aim for over 50% votes in every booth. “The strength of BJP’s booth workers will ensure a massive win in the upcoming Assembly polls,” he stated confidently.

The Prime Minister engaged directly with party workers, inquiring about ground-level issues and voter sentiments. He remarked, “People are openly expressing their anger with ‘AAP-da’, questioning their broken promises.” His remarks set the tone for a campaign focused on accountability and results.

PM Modi’s Critique of AAP

PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the AAP government, accusing it of deception and inefficiency. He alleged that the AAP is resorting to frequent announcements to divert attention as it loses public trust. “The AAP model is based on lies, but the BJP model is based on truth and fulfillment of promises,” he said. He cited the “Sheeshmahal” controversy as a glaring example of AAP’s alleged dishonesty.

Addressing issues like water scarcity, PM Modi remarked, “Liquor is available in Delhi but not water,” pointing to mismanagement under the AAP administration. He also highlighted the plight of women in Delhi, claiming that promises made by AAP and Congress are “unbelievable” and lack follow-through. PM Modi underscored the BJP’s commitment to women’s welfare, drawing comparisons between BJP-governed states and Delhi. He stated, “In Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha, we promised financial aid to women under various schemes, and we delivered. But in Delhi, AAP’s promises remain unfulfilled.”

On youth empowerment, PM Modi highlighted the initiatives undertaken by the BJP over the past decade to foster startups and entrepreneurial opportunities. He accused the AAP of failing to support Delhi’s youth, stating, “The youth of Delhi are tired of AAP’s lies. They know that if BJP comes to power, we will bring transformative changes and make Delhi a startup hub.”

The education sector in Delhi was another focal point of PM Modi’s critique. He dismissed AAP’s claims of revolutionizing Delhi’s schools, stating, “The reality is in front of the people; they have done nothing.” He promised that the BJP would address these gaps by ensuring quality education from kindergarten to post-graduation, as outlined in their “Sankalp Patra.”

AAP’s Counterclaims

While PM Modi’s remarks resonated with BJP supporters, the AAP has consistently defended its record, highlighting initiatives in education, healthcare, and public services. They argue that their policies have transformed Delhi into a model state. However, the BJP’s counter-narrative focuses on perceived inefficiencies and unfulfilled promises.

As the battle for Delhi intensifies, the BJP’s strategy under PM Modi’s leadership hinges on mobilizing booth-level workers, addressing core voter issues, and contrasting their track record with AAP’s claims. With a focus on women, youth, and education, the BJP is positioning itself as a party of action and accountability. The Delhi Assembly elections promise to be a closely watched contest, with both sides vying for the trust of the electorate. As voters prepare to cast their ballots, the campaign narratives of truth versus promises will undoubtedly shape the outcome.
